History and Culture: Exhibition “Hunting – Passion and Entertainment. Europe in XVI-XIX Century” opened in Vyborg

The exhibition Hunting – Passion and Entertainment. Europe in XVI-XIX Century has been opened at the Hermitage – Vyborg exhibition centre. About 200 masterpieces from the collections of the Hermitage Museum explore hunting as the cultural and historical phenomenon of life.

The exhibition features two sections. The first one displays the image of hunting through the different art pieces, and tells about the history and atmosphere of hunting palaces and castles. The second one is dedicated to the hunting weaponry: throwing weapons, firearms and white arms, as well as various hunting accessories.

The exhibition has a big variety of items. The Hermitage – Vyborg centre also presents paintings, tapestries, cameos, ceramics, pieces of interior décor and hunting costumes.

The exhibition will run until October 20, 2022.
