Memorable Dates of Russia: The exhibition “Occupation: Foreigner” presented in Moscow, marking the 100th anniversary of illegal intelligence in Russia

The exhibition Occupation: Foreigner was opened in the Lyuboschinsky-Vernadskys' Apartment House (State Literature Museum, Moscow), marking the 100th anniversary of illegal intelligence in Russia.

The exposition tells about the image of domestic intelligence officers in literature and film. It is based on photographs, rare documents, newsreel footage of the uncovered agents-illegals, including Meier Trilisser, Nahum Eitington, Dmitry Bystrolyotov, Nikolai Kuznetsov, Aleksey Botyan, Gevork and Goar Vartanian, Aleksey Kozlov, William Fisher (Rudolf Abel), Konon Molody, Pavel Fitin, Pavel Gromushkin.

The exposition story is built around famous films and books about spies. Here, visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the prototypes – the most famous “soldiers of an invisible front”, from the times of the Civil War until present day.

The project was created by the Dahl State Museum of History and Russian Literature together with the State Central Film Museum and with the support of the Foreign Intelligence Agency of Russia, the Russian Historical Society and the History of the Fatherland Foundation.

The exhibition will run until September 4, 2022.
