
Society and Reading: The All-Russian Day of Reading Aloud takes place
The Live Classics Foundation launches a new project. The All-Russian Day of Reading Aloud is a day, when anyone can perform and read their favorite passages from poetry or prose.
Leaders of the All-Russian Day of Reading Aloud, taking place on July 23, will be 15 regions. There, special platforms are organized, where solemn literary events will take place: Saratov Region (Saratov, Engels), Samara Region (Samara), Chelyabinsk Region (Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk), Sverdlovsk Region (Yekaterinburg), Udmurtian Republic (Izhevsk, Sarapul, Zavyalovo village), Republic of Bashkortostan (Ufa), Tyumen Region (Tyumen), Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area (Surgut), Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, Yelabuga, Nizhnekamensk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nurlat), Perm Territory (Perm), Voronezh Region (Voronezh), Pskov Region (Pskov), Murmansk Region (Murmansk), St. Petersburg, and Moscow.
As expected in the Foundation, thousands of people will participate in the large-scale literary networking – they will communicate, discover new authors and rediscover the familiar ones, and, of course, read aloud. Creative groups, artist, sportsmen, singers, and experts of culture and literature will perform on the same stage, as the citizens.
