Memory of Russia: The exhibition about the war in the life and work of Mikhail Sholokhov opened in the Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum

The exhibition The Fate of a Man is the Fate of the People, prepared by the specialists of the State Museum-Reserve of M. A. Sholokhov (Rostov Region) has been opened in the Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum, marking the 80th anniversary since the beginning of the battle on the Volga.

The exhibition project tells about the war in the life and work of M. A. Sholokhov, about the history of the famous story The Fate of a Man, its publications, embodiment in film and fine arts.

The exposition features over 120 exhibits. These are photographs, documents, personal belongings of the front-line writer M. A. Sholokhov, editions of the story The Fate of a Man in the languages of the peoples of the world, numerous illustrations to them, samples of awards, weapons and equipment of Soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition project will be especially interesting for amateurs and connoisseurs of M. A. Sholokhov’s work, as well as for schoolchildren who explore literature about the war.

The exhibition will run until October 9, 2022.
