History and Culture: V International Forum of Ancient Cities takes place in Ryazan

On August 24-27, 2022 the V International Forum of Ancient Cities takes place in Ryazan under the aegis of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

The goal of the forum is to consolidate the Russian and international community around the idea of preservation and development of culture, history and traditions of ancient cities and their popularization. Representatives of ancient cities older than 500 years of Russia and friendly countries are invited to take part in the forum.

A plenary session of the Ancient Cities Association will take place within the business program of the forum. Main topics of discussion will be the national costume and the 200th anniversary since the beginning of the official archeological digs in Staraya Ryazan.
