Territory of Russia: Action plan for tourism development in Russia until 2035 approved

The Government of Russia has approved an action plan for tourism development in Russia until 2035.

In particular, the plan provides for the funding of the regions in order to develop tourist clusters, and the preferential lending of investment projects on the creation of tourist infrastructure.

The support of the development of agricultural and ecological tourism has been noted as well.

It has been decided to subsidize the creation of modular hotels and campsites, as well as the development of tourist equipment.

The funding will also be directed at the development of enterprises of folk arts and crafts, renovation of cultural institutions, opening of new exhibitions, creation of attractive tourist environment in the centers of historical cities, creation of multimedia guides using the technology of augmented reality.

The plan provides for the launch of a single system for booking tours and the creation of new services on the national tourist portal.
