Society and Culture: The XXII International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Roerich Heritage” takes place in St. Petersburg

On October 7-9, 2022 the XXII International Scientific and Practical Conference The Roerich Heritage takes place at the State Hermitage Museum and the St. Petersburg State Museum-Institute of the Roerich Family in traditional and remote formats. The conference marks the 120th anniversary since the birth of Y. N. Roerich and is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Corona Mundi International Art Centre, the 130th anniversary since the start of archeological activity of N. K. Roerich, the 350th anniversary since the birth of Russian Emperor Peter the Great and the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.

On October 9, within the framework of the conference, the St. Petersburg State Museum-Institute of the Roerich Family will host:

– the plenary session “The Great Heritage: Exploration of World Culture in the Works of the Roerich Family”;

– the plenary session “Literary and Philosophical Heritage of the Roerichs. Relevance of the Roerich Heritage”.
