Museums of Russia: Eurasian Museum of Nomadic Civilizations to be founded in Bashkiria
The architectural concept of the future Eurasian Museum of Nomadic Civilizations has been presented by Director General of the expert design bureau “Arkhtamga” Rustam Alibayev. The museum’s building will organically fit into the landscape of the area and emphasize the significance of the key object – the Tura-khan Mausoleum.
According to the head of the region Radiy Khabirov, the main goal of the future museum is to show to the guests and visitors of Bashkiria the specifics of development, culture and lifestyle of nomadic peoples, starting with the most important stage of taming horses. The republic is located at the intersection of historical nomadic paths in the so-called Great Steppe. Thus, peoples and nationalities, which live in the region today, have common roots in cultural and everyday traditions and customs with numerous Asian countries. The refrain of the future exposition will be the rich history of the Bashkir people.
Bashkir scientists currently conduct research on the archeological findings from the burials near the mausoleum.
It has been decided to organize the training of specialists of the future museum complex with the cooperation of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Centre.
