Museums and Society: The Book Lounge opens in the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery

On October 26, 2022 the new comfortable space – the Book Lounge opens in the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow).

The goal of the new project is to create an additional museum service and to organize a place for comfortable and pleasant time of resting, individual working, co-working, as well as to provide a wide audience with access to the Gallery’s publishing program, collection of literature on art and similar fields. The presented collection of books of the new recreational zone has been selected by the expert team of the Tretyakov Gallery and partners of the project.

The Tretyakov Gallery plans to expand the pilot project The Book Lounge into a network of libraries, thus solving the issue of popularization of Russian art and open access of a wide audience to the resources of the Gallery in Moscow and regions.
