IT and Education: The production of digital content for schoolchildren to be launched in Russia

By order of the President of Russia, the Institute for Internet Development is planning to launch regular production of content, including educational games and apps, for Russian schoolchildren.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has previously instructed the government to provide for regular production of relevant digital content and multimedia products in new formats, aimed at the patriotic, spiritual and moral education of children and youths, by annually allocating 3.9 billion rubles from the federal budget starting from 2023, with the participation of the autonomous non-commercial organization Institute for Internet Development.

Such targeted financing will help to form a systematic approach to solving the issue of creating content for schools. From now on, recommendations for producing such content will be developed by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
