Territory of Russia: The first park of the Russian Geographical Society in the country to open in Kuban

The first park of the Russian Geographical Society in Russia will be open in Afipsky settlement in Severny District of Krasnodar Territory. There, visitors will have an opportunity to not only get some rest outdoors, but to also acquire knowledge about the historical, natural and cultural heritage of the country, as well as about the activity of the oldest public organization in Russia.

In the park, there will be installed a sculpture of the Russian traveler and explorer Semyon Dezhnev, a symbolic “wind rose” and other small architectural figures reflecting areas of activity of the Russian Geographical Society.
