Exhibitions: Exposition “Konstantin Korovin and His Circle. Moscow – Paris” opens in Moscow

The exhibition Konstantin Korovin and His Circle. Moscow – Paris has opened at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Diaspora (Moscow).

The exhibition has been created by the House of the Russian Diaspora and the Vellum Gallery in collaboration with the Russian National Museum of Music, the Crimean Literary and Artistic Memorial Museum-Reserve, the Union of Deltiologists of Russia, with the support of the Russian Diaspora Heritage Foundation, and a number of large private collectors.

The creative and personal life of Konstantin Alekseyevich Korovin (1861–1939) always had a place for mystery, the veil of which will be slightly opened to visitors of the exhibition: there are presented paintings by Korovin himself, including rare works, not exhibited in the previous series of exhibitions, his graphics, archival documents and letters, documentaries about the artist.

The organizers of the exhibition paid special attention to the mutual influence of the painter and his circle, which included his friends: M. V. Nesterov, V. A. Serov, A. P. Chekhov, F. I. Chaliapin, K. S. Stanislavsky, S. A. Vinogradov, as well as students: A. M. Gerasimov, B. V. Ioganson, R. R. Falk, N. S. Goncharov.

The exhibition will run until March 23, 2023.
