The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve has provided full-sized images of holy warriors from the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos (Museum of Dionisiy’s Frescoes), dating back to 1502. These are the images of Archangel Michael – the leader of the formidable forces of the angelic host personifying the struggle of Good against Evil, the images of canonized Roman soldiers – Saints George and Christopher, who laid down their lives for their faith in Christ, and the images of Russian warrior princes Alexander Nevsky and Mikhail of Tver who defended Russia and the Orthodox faith from the enemy.

The exhibition will run until February 28, 2023.
