Museum and Society: All-Russian Inclusive Campaign “Museum for Everyone!” held

2 December 2022

From December 1-11, 2022, the 4th All-Russian Inclusive Campaign “Museum for Everyone!” is being held. Its mission is to draw public attention to the importance of equal participation of all people in cultural life. Within the framework of the project, museums all over the country host various inclusive online and offline events for their visitors.

Every year, the number of like-minded people who support the theme of inclusivity and create a comfortable museum environment for every visitor increases.

This time, as part of the campaign, Russian museums from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok are holding free events of various formats for children and adults with and without disabilities: online and offline excursions and exhibitions, master classes, interactive lessons and online quests. Information about inclusive events for a wide variety of audiences is updated every day on the campaign’s website музейдлявсех.рф.

The Inclusive Museum was created with three goals in mind. Firstly, for the public to understand that museums are available for leisure and education of absolutely all guests. Secondly, for people with disabilities to know about existing events and that cultural institutions are ready to welcome them with adapted programs. And, thirdly, to help museum specialists better interact with a variety of visitors.

The interactive map of inclusive events is available on the website музейдлявсех.рф. Special filters will help users choose a suitable event depending on the city, institution and format of the event one is interested in.
