History and Culture: Exhibition “Waiting for a Miracle” presented in Voronezh
On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, the exhibition Waiting for a Miracle opened in the exhibition hall of the Kramskoy Voronezh Regional Art Museum. It features 30 works of painting, graphics, decorative and applied art from the collections of the museum, the ‘Voronezh Artists’ Charitable Foundation, the ‘Gallery of the Soviet Era’ Exhibition Centre, and private collections. Many of the works are being exhibited for the first time.
The exhibition covers a large period of the history of Russian fine art: from the most remarkable representatives of the Silver Age of Russian culture, artists of the Soviet period to modern authors.
The exposition is complemented by decorative and applied art: a Dymkovo toy, a Palekh miniature, as well as porcelain products produced by the Leningrad Porcelain Factory. A pleasant surprise for adults and children will be a section dedicated to pre-revolutionary New Year's toys.
The festive New Year mood is created by famous poems about winter by classics of Russian poetry: S. Yesenin, S. Marshak, K. Chukovsky, A. Barto, S. Mikhalkov. Master classes and excursions with game elements are planned to be held within the framework of the exhibition.
The exhibition will run until January 15, 2023.
