IT and Culture: Yasnaya Polyana Museum launched a podcast about relationships in the Tolstoy family

The podcast “Our Lives are Tied and Laced Tightly”: Tolstoy’s Family Life has been launched. It is dedicated to the relationship between Lev Nikolayevich and Sophia Andreyevna. The writer and his wife lived together for 48 years. During this time, the Tolstoys turned from a typical noble married couple into people under the watchful eyes of millions of contemporaries. Today, more than a hundred years after the writer’s death, people continue to wonder how his family relations were formed.

The podcast about the hardships of the joint life of the writer and his wife is run by the scientific worker of the museum Galina Fedoseeva and the head of the Yasnaya Polyana’s press office Irina Afonina.

The idea of the podcast was born during the preparations for the exhibition Merging Two People into One which was presented in the L. N. T. museum and exhibition complex until December 23, 2022.

The podcast is available on the mave channel of the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate, as well as on various podcast platforms and the museum’s page in the social network VKontakte.
