Especially for the exhibition, most of the collection of the Chaliapin House-Museum in St. Petersburg were moved to the capital, including interior items – fragments of the small living room (boudoir of Chaliapin’s second wife Maria Petsold), dining room and living room, paintings and sculptures by Konstantin Korovin, Alexander Golovin, Alexander Benois, Mikhail Nesterov, Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Vrubel from the artist’s collection. The display features the famous portrait of Maria Petsold by Boris Kustodiev, as well as her sculptural portrait made by Chaliapin himself.

Throughout 2023, a series of cultural, educational, musical, scientific and theatrical events dedicated to the personality and work of Feodor Chaliapin will be held in Russia and abroad, including large-scale projects of the Russian National Music Museum. The events provide for the creation of exhibitions, conferences, scientific forums, vocal and opera festivals and concerts with the participation of leading musicians on the main stages of the country. In an updated version, a permanent exhibition will be presented at the Chaliapin Memorial Estate on Novinsky Boulevard in Moscow.
