The best library of the city was chosen in Chelyabinsk. It is children's library №16 located in Kalininsky district of Chelyabinsk. As informed in the press-service of city administration, the institution was nominated to participate in "Best library of the year" contest, by City centralized children's library system, as a result of the last year work.

Children's library №16 was opened in 1992 and serves students of 12 average comprehensive schools, language lyceum №93, gymnasium №26, and also pupils of three kindergartens and boarding school for visually impaired children №440. Readers of the library are 2 186 children and adults. Annually about 41,5 thousand editions are issued by librarians, 250 various mass actions are held.
