Exhibition "Peter's Way. From Russia to Russia" in the Arena of St.-Petersburg

The scale project in which take part more than thirty museums, archives and libraries of St.-Petersburg, Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk, Taganrog, Voronezh and other cities of Russia, is organised by Committee on culture of St.-Petersburg within the limits of the extensive program «Peter the Great Way». The exposition consists of the several sections telling about formation of the person of Peter, reforms of a life, the state transformations, industry development, establishment and formation of institutes of the European type in science and art sphere, building of new capital — St.-Petersburg. The considerable part of an exposition is devoted Peter's unique role as conductor of the advanced modern ideas, the first «the pupil on a throne», the foreign experience which has made to possible prompt development for reforming of all aspects of life of the state. At an exhibition in St.-Petersburg it is possible to see memorial things, painting and a drawing, the decrees written by own hand of Peter, characteristic subjects of an epoch: the weapon, printing books, tools, machine tools, and also architectural projects of the first builders of Petersburg of "wonder" of Petrovsky Kunstkamery and trophies of the first scientific expeditions. Many archival materials are presented for the first time the Petersburg spectators. Specially for an exhibition the documentary film program, a selection of the historical films, popular lectures and meetings are prepared.
