A Museum Will be Created in the Place of the Battle on the Ice

The project for construction of an open-air museum in the place of Battle on the Ice is approved. The project development work began in 1992 while celebrating the 750th anniversary of the battle. The works on creation of the museum in the place of the Battle on the Ice are conducted under the Historical Memory project supported by the Culture of Russia federal program. The Battle on the Ice culture preserve created in the field of military glory will become the fourth similar culture preserve in Russia. The first museum of the kind was created in the fight place at Borodino, the second complex – in Kulikovo field, and Prohorovka Field military glory museum was the third open-air museum.
