President of Russia: the article of D.A. Medvedev ‘Go Russia!’

In his article ‘Go, Russia!’ the President of Russia D.A. Medvedev laid out the main problems that Russia has to solve on the threshold of the new decade of XXI century. The article is published on the official site of the President of Russia.

In his article D.A. Medvedev emphasized that ‘Russian people, similar to every great nation, have a striking, heroic and raising respect history that is at the same time ambiguous, contradictory and complicated. Different people and different countries take us differently. And there is still a lot to do in order to defend our historical heritage from wrong presentation and political speculations. We should have a sensible view of our past. We should see in it grandiose victories along with tragic mistakes, the examples to follow and display of the best features of national character.

In any case we will be attentive to our history and will respect it. First of all we will respect the role of our country in maintaining of balanced world order for many centuries. Russia always, at every stage of its development, sought to make the world system fairer.
