Russian Language: «Role of language, book and traditional culture of late Russian Middle Ages in the life of its epoch, science, museum and library science of XXI century»

On 30–31 October the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University with the support of “Russkiy Mir” foundation held the 2^nd International scientific Conference ”Role of language, book and traditional culture of late Russian Middle Ages in the life of its epoch, science, museum and library science of XXI century”.  

The Conference attracted the historians and archaeographers, specialists in Russian Middle Ages, history and culture of Old Belief from Russia, among them many representatives of regional research centers and from abroad – Belorussia, Ukraine, Poland, Rumania and USA.

The grand opening ceremony of scientific forum took place on Friday, October 30. Among the speakers at the Ceremony were the following: Dean of Lomonosov Moscow State University Faculty of History, the corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Professor S. P. Karpov; the Chairman of the RAS Archeographic Commission, the corresponding member of RAS, Professor S. M. Kashtanov; honorary Chairman of the RAS Archeographic Commission, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Professor S. O. Shmidt. The address of the Chief Executive Officer of “Russkiy Mir” foundation V. A. Nikonov was read by S. L. Shcherbakova the Head of Russian programs of “Russkiy Mir” foundation who attended the opening of the Conference.
