International events: Book “Russian monuments of the Liberation War” represented in Sofia

The fundamental edition “Russian monuments of the Liberation War” was represented in Sofia. The book contains information and photographs of 365 monuments, constructed in Bulgaria in order to pay contribution to heroism of Russian and Bulgarian citizen soldiers during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78.

«The image of monuments of this war can encourage our best intentions in looking for the right way of development of relations between Bulgaria and Russia», – said the President of Bulgaria Georgy Pyrvanov in the book’s preface.

The bilingual book has come out with the circulation of 1000 copies. For the Russian reader the book will be available at the official ceremony of the end of the Year of Bulgaria in Russia in December.
