Information technologies and education: Russian Institutes join YouTube EDU project

Yesterday the users of YouTube.com/edu site got the access to the channels of seven European and Middle-East countries’ Institutes. Russian institutes are also among them. YouTube EDU is the common educational platform where the users can easily find the information regarding the Institutes of Higher Education.

YouTube EDU is a global lecture hall where everyone who needs a general information about University courses or seeks for additional knowledge regarding a specific subject, can see the educational video materials published on YouTube by the most prestigious world Universities and even participate in discussion, - says Vladimir Dolgov, the General director of Google in Russia. – Educational platform EDU joined by Universities of Europe and Middle-East is the step that meets the interests of YouTube community. Educational content is in-demand of users and we hope that in the nearest future the there will be more Institutes of Higher Education joining the program.
