Internet resources: The 3rd All-Russian public libraries’ websites contest

The Tyumen website MAUK “Centralized municipal library system” entered the top ten in its category during the 3rd All-Russian public libraries’ websites contest.

The contest will be carried out from June to November among the libraries of different levels: central universal and children and youth libraries of the subjects of the Russian Federation and the municipal establishments of the country.

The Tyumen Administration Committee for Culture reports that 87 libraries have competed to appear in the top ten websites in the category “Best website of the centralized library system (CBS), municipal public library”.

The website MAUK “CGBS” of the City of Tyumen was studied by the group of specialists appointed by the organizing Committee according to the following criteria: content, design and ergonomics, technical characteristics and popularity among users. Now it is up to the jury to choose the winners.

The contest’s results will appear on the Library.ru portal on December, 1.

The award ceremony of the libraries-winners will take place during the 2nd All-Russian forum of public libraries from 8 to 10 December in St. – Petersburg.

The contest is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Library Association and the Russian State Youth Library.
