IT and society: Nov.26 - Universal Day of Information

The Universal Day of Information, initiated by the International Informatization Academy (IIA) is celebrated on November, 26.

Information has always played a significant role in the life of society. However from the mid XX century as the result of social progress and rapid development of science and technology its role has increased dramatically. Moreover, today the amount of different information is increasing like a snowball, the phenomenon which was called “information boom”.
