The President of Russia: History falsification may harm the interests of Russia
The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev is convinced that the attempts to falsify the history of World War II may cause real problems in the state.
«If we allow to open this black box we may face serious national problems, because there is a number of controversial questions, some of them still involve hot debates and hard negotiations”, – said the President at the Meeting with the crew of the “Varyag” cruiser in Singapore.
“If we allow the further development of events then people may doubt the results of the Nuremberg Trials, and say that the Nazi had been falsely accused, that no crime in fact had been committed. But this is nonsense, - stressed D. A. Medvedev. – We must not fight against other standpoints, but uphold our interests in no case let the history falsification, which can harm the interests of the Russian State”.
