IT and society: “Open Literature” project on-line

The initiators of the “Open literature” project made attempts to create “such an area, where the publishers and authors don’t meet just accidently, where specialists are eager to help everyone, who deals with literature”.

To participate in the contest, carried out regularly in the framework of the project the young author should submit his work. The professional jury which will attract famous writers, journalists and publishers will assess and review his work. The author will be able to get practical advice and recommendations on how to improve the quality of texts; the specialists will work out if it is ready to come out weather as a print or an electronic book. Later the work will be included into the project’s rating. The works of different genres and size are welcome.

The project’s director Anna Bokshitskaya remarked that the author, who managed to get the highest points in the rating and get an excellent review could without a doubt go to the publishing house. The expert’s recommendations will be of a great help in the beginning of the author’s writing career. She is convinced that the publishers will also appreciate the work of the project because its participants will look for new talented authors. In other words, they will carry out the part of the publishers’ work, who usually receive around 100 manuscripts per month.
