The Tsarskoe Selo State Museum is holding the exhibition “Vivat, Yelisavet” in commemoration of the 300th birthday anniversary of the Empress Elizaveta Petrovna. This is a joint jubilee project of the State Museum of Ceramics and “Kuskovo Estate of 18th century”. This exhibition will be an important event in the cultural life of St. – Petersburg – it will display the unique pieces of art dating back to the “golden Elizabethan age”.

The idea to hold the exposition at the museum-reserve was defined by the role of its crowned owner in the life of Tsarskoe Selo: it was Elizaveta Petrovna who turned a small suburb estate into a luxurious and majestic residence.

The exhibition represents 30 displays from the “Tsarskoe Selo” museum’s collectionоn and gives a chance to see such rarities as a console clock of the mid. 18 century of the famous French sculptor Jean-Jacques Caffieri - a unique clock represented only in this museum collection, Chinese porcelain dishes of the first half of 18th century, amber medallion with the portrait of Elizaveta Petrovna, the amber-decorated case for playing chess and Tric-Trac of the beginning of 17th century.
