
History of St. - Petersburg: Contest of young journalists in commemoration of 300th anniversary of Tsatskoye Selo
In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of Tsarskoye Selo, which will be celebrated in June 2010, St. – Petersburg announces the contest for young journalists. At the press-conference in the House of journalists the contest’s organizers reported the deadline for submitting works, dedicated to the jubilee of the summer residence of the Northern capital - February, 15.
The jury presided by the Head of the Administration of Pushkin district of St. – Petersburg Igor Pahorukov will examine the submitted works of all genres. There are no restrictions in the topics either. The contest welcomes the students of the departments of “journalism”, “public relations”, "advertising", "philology", "history", and also professional journalists under 30.
The contest will represent the nominations, reflecting the economic, social, cultural and historical aspects of the jubilee celebrations. Special nomination for the participants from the regions of Russia and countries of the near abroad will estimate “an outsider’s viewpoint”.
The winners of the contest will be awarded with certificates, presents and money prizes. Moreover they will obtain an accreditation for one of the exclusive functions, dedicated to the jubilee’s celebrations. Their works will come out in Pushkin literary miscellany and other publications.
