The governmental publishing house “Osvita” together with the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and a publishing house “MOST Publishing” have launched their joint project “School Electronic Textbook of Future”.

The device’s developers claim that it took them less than a year to create the reader. Its most distinctive feature is “electronic paper” technology, which provides extra comfort while reading. It is especially important, considering that the readers are aimed at children. Its rechargeable battery is enough to read about 10,000 pages, and its flexible 9,7-inch screen is very durable.

The main and additional memory cards are able to store up to 10,000 textbooks. Among the reader’s extra applications is a calculator, digital translators etc. Moreover, it is planned to create color screen device and Wi-Fi-module for information retrieval on the Internet.
