Regions of Russia: First-hand experience of veterans-Cossacks recorded in Kostroma

The regional stage of the All-Russian Cossacks folklore-patriotic expedition was launched on February, 17 in Kostroma.

The participants of the campaign in Kostroma oblast are recording first-hand stories of the Great Patriotic War Cossacks-veterans and home front workers, collecting audio- and video materials, which can shed light to some little studied pages of history. The expedition’s participants are also working on the creation of regional funds-archives "Live memory". The main mission of the All-Russian Cossacks expedition is "preservation and popularization of historical and cultural traditions of Russian Cossacks, spiritual, moral, civic and patriotic upbringing of children and youth".
