Regions of Russia: Album of history of Mordvins displayed in Mordovia

The National Library of the Republic of Mordovia held a patrons’ conference "The 1000^th anniversary of unification: publishing aspect". Within the framework of the conference the Mordvinian book publishing house unveiled a new book – an album “Mordovia". Alexander Luzgin, Chairman of the State Committee of National Policy of the Republic of Mordovia, reported that the album’s publication marked an important date – thousand years of unification of peoples of Mordovia with peoples of the Russian State. Its authors faced a serious challenge: to cover the whole millennium in one edition. However they managed to do it. The “Mordovia” album spans not just the past of Mordvins, but also current accomplishments of the republic in sport, economics and science.

"We are always doing our best to create books, which will evoke among the readers a feeling of pride for their nation", - remarked Ivan Kelin, Director of the Mordvinian publishing house. The album “Mordovia” – is an excellent gift edition, which familiarizes the reader with the Republic of Mordovia and focuses his attention on reforms, which have recently introduced. The book is aimed at a wide readership.
