Memory of Russia: Heroes of the Russo-Japanese War remembered in Vladivostok

The heroes of the Russo-Japanese War were remembered on February, 9 in Vladivostok.
The ceremony of laying wreaths took place at the memorial area of the Marine (Morskoye) cemetery at the mass grave of junior ranks of the “Varyag” cruiser’s and the “Koreets” gunboat’s crew.
The function marked the 106th anniversary of death of the “Varyag” cruiser’s and “Koreets” gunboat’s crews, who accepted an unequal battle with the Japanese squadron at the Korean Chemulpo Bay in 1904.
The ceremony brought together representatives of the City Administration, seamen and officers of the Pacific Fleet, veterans, pupils of the patriotic clubs for children, residents and guests of the city.
