Digital libraries: Apple iBookstore and Gutenberg Project

The new version of the e-Book catalogue of Apple iBookstore Internet shop is to appear soon. iBookstore will include books of the Gutenberg Project – an electronic library which currently contains over 30,000 free books. The Gutenberg library of free digital books is supported by volunteer efforts, and is being constantly enlarged. The project’s mission is to digitize and archive works of world literature. Books of the Gutenberg project will be available for free download from iBookstore.

As to other books it is known that the majority of Apple iBookstore bestsellers will cost $9,99.
