65th anniversary of the Great Victory: ‘Threads of time’ demarche will take place in Tyumen

According to the press service of Tyumen region Education and Science Department the patriotic demarches will be attended by local schools, children and youth societies.

‘Threads of time’ demarche will start on April 1. Its goal is to create a certain ambience so that the participants would feel their personal complicity to the national historical events. Each pupil, teacher or parent will have an opportunity to provide for a single ‘thread’ (a stand or an exposition) a soldier’s triangle letter, a social project or a photo informing on relatives who gave their life serving the Motherland.

On April 15 is launching the demarche called ‘Lessons of victory’: presentation of the collected materials in a form of subject classes, round tables, meetings with veterans. The ‘lessons’ will last until May 8 when the action ‘In the single formation’ will start.

On May 8 in all municipalities of Tyumen region at a fixed hour the students, teachers, parents and veterans will fall into ‘the single formation’ near the main monument to the Great Patriotic War heroes. Together they will light candles of memory, call over the roll the names of their fellow-townsmen - war participants -and honor their memory with a minute of silence and lay flowers on the memorial.

All these actions passing one to another will become for students not just a nexus with the generation of their ancestors but will also let them feel more sharply the complicity to the Great Patriotic War events and the responsibility for preserving the memory of a heroic past of our country.
