An exhibition “Orthodoxy – a spiritual treasury of Russia” opened at the V. G. Belinsky Kaluga State Regional Scientific Library.  The exhibition has been organized within the framework of the Day of the Orthodox book, which was celebrated on March, 14 in Kaluga region.

The Kaluga Regional Children’s Library launched presentation of the book “Kaluga’s wonder-working” aimed at pupils of the senior group of the Sunday school of the Intercession Cathedral. This library also mounted a virtual trip “Orthodox Kaluga”. Electronic presentation, dedicated to the Day of the Orthodox book, took place at the lending library. The virtual "exposition" will familiarize its patrons with the history and culture of Orthodoxy. Moreover the program includes holding book exhibitions of children’s Orthodox literature: "My first books about Orthodoxy", "Orthodox Rus’: history and book".

The organizers claim that the exposition will help to unveil a diverse layer of spiritual, historical, cognitive, educational, reference and encyclopedic, fiction literature and books on the study of art.

Regional municipal libraries are going to launch book-illustrative exhibitions, reviews, quizzes, and performances, based on Orthodox tales.

The program of the session of the local history commission of the Russian Geographical Society Kaluga department also included a meeting with authors of the book "Kaluga’s wonder-working". The books “The gatherer of the Russian lands” (about Andrey Bogolyubsky), received from the Cyril and Methodius Charity Foundation “Basics of Orthodoxy”, were donated to the libraries.
