Regions of Russia: Altai krai supports compatriots in China, Kazakhstan and Ireland in celebration of 65th Victory anniversary

Authorities of Altai Krai are going to assist compatriots living in China, Kazakhstan and Ireland in celebration of 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. The contest of children’s drawings as well as a literary and theatrical competition will be mounted in Dublin (Ireland). The prize winner will get a chance to travel to Altai krai. On the eve of May, 9 in Ürümqi (China) Russian and Soviet war-time films will be launched with support of Altai authorities

One of the most mass and spectacular actions will become the program called “Light a candle”, which will be held on May 8 - 9 in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan). In memory of perished people hundreds of candles will be lighted to be followed by the concert patriotic program.

Within the framework of preparation for celebration of 65th anniversary of the Great Victory Russian children in Ulan-Bator (Mongolia), Ürümqi and Pavlodar (Kazakhstan) became participants of the literary contest “Great Patriotic War in the history of my family”. The event aimed at children of compatriots living abroad was initiated by the Administration of Altai Krai. Participants of contests were awarded books dedicated to the Great Patriotic War in the Russian language.

The program called for rendering support to compatriots living abroad is being implemented in Altai krai.
