23 April 2010

The world’s major video hosting service YouTube is marking its 5th anniversary. Google, the owner of the website, claim that in 2005 video uploading, sharing and viewing on the web was unusual, whereas now it is impossible to imagine a full-fledged Internet without it. According to latest studies, YouTube provides over 1 billion videos per day worldwide.

Video sharing website YouTube was created by three former PayPal employees in San Bruno, California. The project became an excellent source of entertainment, and according to Alexa statistics, having created its community, in two years of its work it managed to surpass MySpace social network in popularity.
