International events: Conference “Tolerance and intolerance in contemporary society within world crisis” mounted in St. - Petersburg

On April 22-23 2010 the St. – Petersburg State University is holding 8th International theoretical and practical conference entitled “Tolerance and intolerance in the contemporary society within the world crisis”.

The participants of the conference are going to discuss a wide range of issues related to the problem of tolerance. Among them: correlation between tolerance and intolerance in politics, society, religion and education; interethnic conflicts; migration; society marginalization, multiculturalism; terrorism; crisis situation, lessons of the World War II.

The conference has been organized with support of the St. – Petersburg City Administration, national communities, United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the Kennan Institute with participation of the Consulates General of Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Norway, the USA, Finland, France, Sweden, accredited in St. - Petersburg.
