Libraries of Russia: Exhibition-contest “Simbirsk book - 2009” in Ulyanovsk

An exhibition-contest called “Simbirsk book - 2009” kicked off in Ulyanovsk. The event brought together 36 publishing houses who familiarized the jury with over 500 books, pamphlets, electronic editions, booklets and promotional leaflets, which came out the last year in Ulyanovsk oblast. Among its permanent participants are – PLC “Ulyanovsk Printing House”, PLC “Regional Printing House “Printing Court”, LLC publishing house “Corporation of promotion technologies”, editorial and publishing departments of Ulyanovsk universities and special secondary educational institutions.

This year the exhibition was for the first time attended by such publishing houses as printing house LLC “Color-Print”, LLC “MT-press”, LLC “Language and literature, publishing house “Multi-profile business center”, LLC “Media group “INTERRA”, LLC “Media-partner”.

LLC “Media group “INTERRA” – is a team of professionals, specializing in development of web sites and multimedia products, and besides creation of corporate identity and printing art. LLC “Media-partner”» – advertising and publishing company, whose key product is the All-Russian project “Golden pages of Russia”.

Among the editions represented at the exhibition were: “Graduates and pupils of the Simbirsk classical gymnasium 1810-1918. [Electronic resource]; Trofimov Zh. A. Nikolai Karamzin and Simbirsk: search, findings, researches; Kasatkina S. S. Auguste Chaudet: masters of Simbirsk architecture; Nature of Simbirks Volga region: collection of scientific works; 90^th anniversary of foundation of the archival service in Ulyanovsk oblast; Echo of war: collection of poems by poets of Ulyanovsk oblast etc.

The editor-in-chief of “Ulyanovsk pravda” newspaper Irina Aranovskaya donated to the library a set of newspapers covering the issues from 1941 to 1945.
