IT and youth: Dev Generation 2010 - contest of IT ideas

Softline Venture Partners company has announce about the launch of the contest of ideas regarding development of software and Internet applications among youth called Dev Generation 2010.

Softline Venture Partners will make $100,000 investments in implementation of the winner’s project.

“By holding the Dev Generation 2010 contest, we are trying to popularize IT among young people, and show that there is always an opportunity for implementation and development of really interesting projects, – Yelena Alexeeva, Softline Investment Director said. – Dev Generation 2010 – is a contest, aimed at development of new technologies by young developers, whereas a good incentive – is one of composites of the successful introduction of innovative projects”.

The contest kicked off on April, 14 and will close in June 2010 г. It will bring together students and graduate students from Russia, CIS and Baltic states. A participant, taking the first place, will receive $100,000 investments for implementation of his project, a silver prize-winner will join the world’s conference for Internet technologies entitled LeWeb'10 which will take place in December, 8-9 2010 in Paris. This year there is a special nomination announced by Microsoft “Project with world’s potential”. Winners in this category will have a chance to receive training based on the program Start in Garage.

Dev Generation – is an annual contest of ideas in sector of development of software and Internet applications among the youth. It has been organized by Softline Venture Partners and is held for the second time in row.
