Libraries abroad: E-database of theses released in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan National Library n. a. M. F. Akhundov has recently released its electronic database of academic theses.

Its presentation brought together the director of the National Library Kerim Tahirov, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Qarayev, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under President of Azerbaijan Republic Arif Mehdiyev and many others.

The new e-database is reported to contain approx. 7842 dissertations, 4449 of which are available in Azerbaijani and 3393 - in Russian language. Electronic documents, provided in the database, cover dissertations, which were publicly defended in Azerbaijan from 1994 up to date. The e-database can be accessed only via intranet of the National Library n. a. M. F. Akhundov. You can visit the website to browse the catalogue of all dissertations, included into the electronic database.

In order to prevent copyright infringement all the data represented in the new e-resource can’t be copied.
