Regions of Russia: Days of Culture of Primorsky Krai to be launched in Moscow and St. Petersburg

"Primorye – history continues" – this is the title of the photographs exhibition which is going to kick off in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Exposition will be launched within the framework of Days of Culture of Primorsky Krai, which are to take place in capital cities on June 2 - 13. Among key events is the tour of the Maxim Gorky Academic Theatre of Primorsky krai. In Moscow performances of the Gorky Academic Theatre will be mounted at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theatre, and in St. Petersburg – at the International Theatre Festival “Baltic House”.

Actors of the Gorky Theatre will show their five best performances: “Incognito from St. Petersburg” based on the play by Gogol, premiere of the play "TOVARICH", and famous theatre’s performances “Memorial prayer” (“Pominalnaya molitva”), "Love under elms" (“Lyubov pod vyazami”), "Crazy love" (“Sumasshedshaya lyobov”).

The photo exhibition, launched in the foyers of abovementioned theatres, will enable citizens of Moscow and St. Petersburg to familiarize themselves with Primorsky Krai.

The exposition will display 24 photographs from the holdings of the Arsenyev History Museum and of the Primorsky Krai Administration Archive. Photographs show the history of pre-revolutionary Primorye, Soviet period and its modern time. These are visits of higher officials of the government, life of the krai, preparation for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, as well as building of bridges to the Russkiy Island and across the “Zolotoy Rog” Bay. The motto of the exhibition is – Primorye is moving to APEC summit.
