65th Great Victory anniversary: Screenings of war-time films "Hotira - Memory"

On May, 5 -7 in order to mark the Day of Memory and Honors, and the 65th anniversary of Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Council of Friendship and Societies and Cultural Enlightening Relations with Foreign Countries of Uzbekistan launched an event entitled "Hotira - Memory" - screenings of war-time films.  

The event has been organized by Council of Friendship and Societies and Cultural Enlightening Relations with Foreign Countries of Uzbekistan, the National agency “Uzbekkino”, Association of movies and video organizations of Uzbekistan, Society of Friendship “Uzbekistan - Russia", Rossotrudnichestvo Representation, the Republican Russian Cultural Center, with a support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Screenings of feature films about war, shot by Uzbekistan and Russian directors, were mounted within the framework of the event.

On May 5 – film “Two combatants”, shot by Leonid Lukov in 1943 in Tashkent.

On May 6 – film “Ballad of a Soldier” by Grigory Chukhrai, 1959 and “Apples of 1941” by Ravil Batyrov, which came out in 1969.

On May 7 - "Residents of Leningrad – my children" shot by Damir Salimov in 1982 and “Destiny of a Man” shot by Sergei Bondarchuk in 1959.
