Internet resources: Google updates its search engine result pages

Google has updated its search engine result pages, adding a left hand column with links to help the user narrow down his search results. In the left part of the page with search results there is a menu, which includes instruments for search results filtration. It will enable the user to browse results according to date or highlight results they liked.

The new option will allow the users to automatically sort results according to the relevant type of data - news, videos, books or blogs.

Google’s new option is based on the instruments - Universal Search and Google Squared, as well as Search Options panel, released within last three years. At the same time the navigation menu enhanced the search opportunities.

Google has released the new page simultaneously worldwide. Updating affected search results in 37 languages, including the Russian language. The new option is expected to be available to all the users within 48 hours after its launch.
