65th Great Victory anniversary: Russian Diaspora in Ireland looks forward for Victory Day celebrations

Preparatory work of the Russian community in Ireland mounted for holding 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War is reaching its final stage. Memorial anniversary will be marked with an auto race in East Ireland, announced vice chairman of the Ireland Russia Business Association Vladimir Popov, who has been organizing this action jointly with the Head of the Sport Association of Russian compatriots living in Ireland (SARZHI), Maxim Bykhovsky.

“Auto-race will kick off on Saturday in Phoenix Park, after the rally and leaflets’ distribution, - Mr Popov informed. – Special stickers with symbols of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945 have been prepared for participating cars of the race.

The next day “Eurolog-Ireland” Association, aimed at teaching, preservation and popularization of the Russian language, together with the First Russian theatre, and with a support of the Russian Federation Embassy and Altai krai Administration are going to hold a concert in the honor of 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and a literary-theatrical competition entitled “Memories about war” intended for children, who study the Russian language.
