
IT and Museums: Internet launched in Peterhof Park
The State Peterhof Museum Reserve has announced about free Wi-Fi zone launch in its Lower Park. Now visitors of the State Museum Reserve while strolling in the park will be able to surf the Internet freely and without any time limits.
According to “OBIT” company, which has provided free WiFi, a user will only need to search the network on his mobile device, choose “OBIT- Free Internet Access” network and connect to it. Company adds that this access system guarantees secure to the user, as it doesn’t require special codes or personal data. WiFi access manual on the home page is available in five languages.
What is more, the provider has installed a web camera which enables all users watch round-the-clock web-casts of “Samson”, fountains of the Grand Cascade and Grand Palace on the company’s website. Apart from this, users will be able to enjoy all web-casts of celebrations held in Peterhof, learn about the current weather conditions online. Thus “Peterhof” has become the first outdoor museum in St. Petersburg, whose visitors now are able to make use of Wi-Fi. This service will not affect the admission fees.
