Regions of Russia: N. G. Domozhakov National Library project wins Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation grant

The project of the N. G. Domozhakov National library in the nomination “New role of libraries in education” became one of the winners of the open contest launched by the non-profit organization “Charitable Foundation of cultural initiatives” (Mikhail Prokhorov foundation)”.

The N.G. Domozhakov National Library won a 249,000 rubles grant for implementation of the project called “Legends and myths of Khakassia: revived history”.

The Republic of Khakassia is a unique archaeological, geographical, ethnographical corner of Russia, therefore its history and culture has a great educational potential.

Within the framework of the project’s implementation specialists of the N. G. Domozhakov National library are going to prepare electronic bibliographical database of resources based on the topic of the project. This will make rich library’s resources available to young researchers of Khakassia.

Work on the project “Legends and myths of Khakassia: revived history” will be completed in July 2011 by a film presentation.
