Regions of Russia: Prospects of libraries’ informatization in the focus of “round table” in Khabarovsk

A round table called “Library in the information society” will be mounted in Khabarovsk within the framework of the session of Interdepartmental Working group on regional informatization of the RF President’s Council on information society development.

The event will bring together representatives of the Khabarovsk krai government, krai’s Ministry of Culture, leading librarians of different systems and departments of Moscow and Far-Eastern Federal District.

Participants of the “round table” are going to discuss the problems and prospects of libraries’ informatization, equal access to information resources to all the citizens of Russia, qualification improvement of librarians in the area of modern information technologies, and other urgent issues related to development of libraries.

The event has been organized by the Moscow City Council, All-Russian political party “United Russia”, Khabarovsk krai Ministry of Culture, and Far-Eastern State Academic library.
